Conception

Luke 1:31 'And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son.'
All of us, like Mary, are to conceive the purpose of God for ourselves through an encounter with God.
When something is 'birthed' in us by the Holy Spirit, nothing can stop it coming to pass.
It's imperative we spend our lives doing 'God' ideas, not just 'good ideas!'
What is conceived by God in you now? What are you pregnant with?
God's purposes are 'brought forth,' 'born,' not manufactured by human engineering. If it's hard
& heavy & we're pushing with human strength to make it happen, maybe its not God!
His burden is light & easy! Whatever God's purpose is, it will always bring Christ into our world.
His purposes are 'Jesus centered.'

Extra oil

Matt 25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Generally visions & dreams & answered prayers take longer than we expected!
It takes as much oil to wait as it does to work.
Wise people believe in 'more than enough.' It's imperative we live in abundance because the work of the Kingdom demands it.
The price for 'oil' (anointing) is time spent with God in prayer. There are no shortcuts to the anointing.
When people run out of oil the wick burns. This is burnout. Fresh oil in abundance stops burnout and gives energy, fire,
light so we don't miss the 'Jesus' door of opportunity, when it comes. Get fresh oil!

Fresh oil

Psalm 92:10 'I have been anointed with fresh oil'
David was anointed at least three different times for a new day and a new level of calling.
The Apostles were filled with the Spirit (clothed with power) on the day of Pentecost and then again and again and again.
All of us need fresh infillings, fresh oil, fresh empowering with the Holy Spirit.
Without this, we are like Zerrubabel trying to deal with great mountains of opposition in human strength. But God
says, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord.'
Get hungry, get thirsty for the Holy Spirit for the power of God to fill you in a fresh way today.
Empowered to serve!!

Problems = Opportunities

John 9:1 Now as Jesus passed by,
He saw a man who was blind from birth.
Unlike the priest who didn't stop for the half-dead man, when he 'passed by', Jesus does stop.
His vision is people who have no vision, so that He can give them vision.
He sees the problem as an opportunity for the glory of God.
Others saw it as an opportunity to blame someone, to find out whose fault the problem was!
They wanted to fix the blame. Jesus wanted to fix the problem.
All of us are blind from birth. Unless we are born again we 'cannot see' the kingdom of God.
In one act Jesus changed the man from a beggar to a preacher, from a 'sitter' to a walker, from blind to seeing.
This is the effect Jesus has on everyone who receives Him.

Enthusiasm

Eccl 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do,
do it with your might
We live in a world of so many options, so much multi-tasking, that to live an undistracted,
undiluted, focussed, full hearted life demands a higher level of commitment to the ONE thing
that is supremely important in our life. Col 3:23 says 'do whatever you do for God enthusiastically!'
We must give our all and give our best to whatever God has given us to do and great fruitfulness will
follow.
'Enthusiasm' comes from 'En theo' - 'In God!' If you're 'In God,' you'll be enthusiastic about life & work.
(Don't text while people are talking to you. Don't do emails in church.) Give your whole self to each
moment in your life & all you put your hand to.
Be baptised (fully immersed) in Christ the church & the Holy Spirit.
See you in church
