Matt 3:17 And suddenly a voice came from Heaven, saying, "This is my My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Jesus humbled himself to be baptised by his cousin John. Baptism was for people repenting, but Jesus wanted to be part of this great move of God and flow with John's message. The Father elevated Jesus, declaring publicly that this was His one & only son, who He was immensely pleased with. Fathers, we would do well to follow God's example & tell our sons publicly how proud & pleased we are with them. If the Son of God at age 33 needed this, so do our children.
