Hebrews 12:5 "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
God only ever chastises & corrects those He loves. Our submission to God is to accept & agree with His rebuke, rather than resist & despise it. Rather take heart knowing that God is caring enough and interested enough in you to confront you, so that you can be transformed and 'trained' by the experience. None of us have it all together and do things that need correction. When we submit to God, we 'learn' obedience. He needs us to obey when He gives commands rather than just doing our own thing. We learn to obey through the training of rebuke & chastening.
