I have always loved being out in the ocean, whether sailing, surfing or just swimming. I've always felt a great resonance with the sea. It’s an important practice for me to paint the things I love. One of those things is sailing. I feel I can capture the feeling of being out there under a big sail, racing. I also love just cruising out in the deep blue.
I try to recapture these moments for people. So that they will have a place to go away to when they are at home or in the office, so they can look up at the painting and escape into it.
