The Flower Collection

The flowers collection began with my Dad's funeral in 1995. I saw the beautiful flowers people had sent and thought what a shame they would be gone so soon. So I started painting them.

Flowers are so extroverted! Their color brightens anyone's day. No apology, God shows us what He's like. I'm breathless looking at a flower,  seeing the gradation of one color to the next. Unbelievably delicate, showering the ground and the sky above with living confetti. The beauty is endless. I'm hopeful to capture an impression in a painting. If so, I have done my job.
