GREAT EXPECTATIONS
Matthew 6:10 Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
The Bible is the story of a clash of Kingdoms.
The first five declarations of the Lord's Prayer are to do with fulfilling God's dreams, not ours. Most of us in this world are working hard to get our kingdom to come; we want our house, our car, our family, our business. This prayer is not for ours, but His Kingdom to come, His house, His business, His family, His dreams to come.
This is a Kingdom of the heart. If He rules in our heart then His Kingdom within us will enable us to live by a set of rules and guidelines that will give us victory in all circumstances.
The will of God does not happen a lot! God is waiting for His people to be practically active. He gave us dominion over the earth. Prayer brings things to birth and we see breakthrough.
Spiritual breakthrough comes through prayer - it is breathing the air of heaven like a diver with a pipe to the air above in the boat.
We are to storm the gates of heaven and thus create a place for God to dwell. God listens to the language of prayer and moves in response.
Your Kingdom come.
1. Unlimited Increase
The Kingdom is a seed. When we pray for His Kingdom to come, we can expect to begin small and grow extraordinarily large.
Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end
2. Unlimited Deliverance
You can tell where the Kingdom of God is because people are set free.
Matthew 12:28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the Kingdom of God has come upon you
3. Unlimited Healing
You can tell where the Kingdom of God is because people are being healed
Luke 10:9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The Kingdom of God has come near to you'
4. Unlimited Power
Romans 14:17 For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but for righteousness and peace and joy and the Holy Spirit
You can tell where the Kingdom of God is because people are being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Much of God’s will doesn't happen. He is not willing that any should perish, but many do perish.
We should use our authority to turn a nation around and not “spend” the blessings on ourselves - it is not about our abilities. He has given us so much and we are accountable for our use of these gifts.
The ways of the Kingdom of God are far above the ways of this world. People easily recognise the characteristics of God's nature in action. The 'genes' of God come directly from the Spirit when we are born again. We are born 'of God'. The Helper, the Holy Spirit empowers us to live in these ways of God.
Prophesy in prayer believing you will receive. Be bold in prayer.
You'll never pray confidently if you don’t know the will of God. We have to come to a point of being convinced about God’s will for our lives.
Tap your potential through surrender to God and being used to reach others, being of benefit to others.
There's always guidance within us. We have to deny the big “I” within us. Come to the place of surrender and then be filled with the Holy Spirit. Give up things that steal your heart and do a pruning in your world.
